“Movement is not only essential for our body but also for our mind.”

By moving our body we strengthen not only our muscles and bones, we also improve our cardio respiratory endurance. Every part of our body benefits from movement as it develops coordination and balance, improves our fitness, contributes to a healthy weight and prevents osteoporosis -a common problem mostly women suffer from, heart disease, stroke and certain types of cancer.

Movement is not only essential for our body but also for our mind. Moving our body helps us focus and reduces stress. It’s been proven that movement prevents anxiety and depression.
Children of pre-school age who are capable of walking unassisted should be physically active for 3 hours or more per day, while it is suggested, that children over 5, adolescents and adults should move for at least one hour daily. This can be moderate aerobic activity, like walking or biking, vigorous aerobic activity like fast running and sports or strengthening activities like training in the gym.
A lot of people think that training or moving will get them the appearance they want. And sometimes, that’s the case. Yes, we can use steps or training as tools to lose weight, but the essential thing about losing weight and fat is portion control and nutritious food. No one has to spend hours doing cardio in order to lose weight. Movement is not a chore we use to lose weight, it's a blessing. You don't have to move, you get to move.
Sports, walking, cardio machines, even doing house cleaning is movement. Find what suits you and include it in your daily routine.
